AI Orthosis Software

Design digitally, step by step

Our AI-assisted 3D orthosis software simplifies complex design processes and makes it possible to calculate and visualise the exact shape of the orthosis before it is printed.

A guided step-by-step interface and intuitive sliders allow individual design aspects to be adjusted.

The software enables individual design without CAD skills and supports the comfort and fit of the orthosis.

All data is stored and processed securely in Germany in accordance with the GDPR and medical standards.

Centrally updated

Thanks to the cloud-based solution, the latest features and improvements are available without time-consuming updates or local installations.

Optimised design

AI-assisted algorithms optimise the design for material-efficient, high-quality FDM 3D printing.

Efficient workflow

The intuitive user interface reduces training time and speeds up the design process. Easy operation and quick adjustment options save time and costs.

Brace-Maker 3D-CAD: orthosis model with a hole pattern in the design view

Brace-Maker 3D-CAD

Precise design of orthoses and braces

With Brace-Maker, orthopaedic specialists and technicians can precisely plan and create orthoses and braces for 3D printing.

The starting point is a 3D body scan of the patient, which can be carried out with commercially available 3D sensors. The orthosis is individually adapted to the body contour; three-dimensional ventilation holes can also be modelled.

Brace-Maker enables topologically distributed patterns for ventilation structures, the adjustment of local wall thicknesses (skeletonisation), the creation of a consistent 3D solid model and export to standard file formats for CAD or slicer programs.

Technology partner

Developed on the basis of applied research

Brace-Maker is based on many years of research and was developed by the Gesellschaft zur Förderung angewandter Informatik (GFaI, Society for the Promotion of Applied Computer Science). As an exclusive partner, 3D-Medico offers this software solution for planning and creating orthoses and braces.

Benefits of Brace-Maker

Intuitive operation

The software is simple and user-friendly, so that orthoses and braces can be planned and created quickly and easily.

Tailor-made customisation

Thanks to 3D body scans and flexible modelling functions, patient-specific orthoses can be precisely adapted and optimised.

Efficient ventilation structures

Automated tools generate topologically distributed patterns for ventilation holes, thereby increasing wearing comfort.

Compatible 3D model generation

In just a few steps, a consistent, print-ready 3D solid model is created that can be exported directly to CAD or slicer programs.

Flexible extensions

The all-in-one software offers numerous customisation options that can be tailored to individual requirements.

Time and cost savings

From 3D scan to final modelling, Brace-Maker enables a flexible workflow that saves time and reduces costs.
